All Ohio Masonry Restoration, Inc. was founded in 1991 by its current president, G. Scott Guiler. Guiler initially ventured into the industry by starting a power washing business in 1974. Shortly after that, he began to specialize in the cleaning of new masonry work, a process performed to remove excess mortar from newly laid brick or stone, resulting in a clean, finished appearance to the work. In the late 1970’s, he began to direct his central Ohio business toward the historic restoration of masonry, focusing on chemical cleaning and tuck pointing. Throughout the 1980’s he continued to both clean new masonry work as well as restore existing brick and stone. Since incorporating under the current name of All Ohio Masonry in 1991, the company has focused on the repair, restoration and rebuilding of masonry, and all related areas. Not only is All Ohio Masonry managed closely by Guiler, whose expertise has been well honed for more than three decades, but the company is staffed with masons and estimators who are knowledgeable and experienced in all facets of masonry repair and restoration. Their realm of expertise includes chimney repair and rebuilding, flashing, installation of rain caps, lock-top dampers, gas logs, fireplace conversions and other chimney and fireplace products and services. Their knowledge and experience in historic restoration of brick and stone includes chemical cleaning, paint stripping, tuck pointing, caulking, above-grade waterproofing, concrete work and many other services including slate roof and stucco repairs.
